Disclaimer: This is written solely for my own entertainment and other like-minded souls, and is not intended to infringe on the rights of the estate of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Notes: Firstly, my usual apologies for the long break in posting: RL hit and hit good. Hopefully, updates will follow a bit more frequently now I am feeling better and ROTK has provided such lovely inspiration. *crosses various bits*
Secondly and especially, thanks for those who have helped during the writing of this with feedback and encouragement. And particular grovelling thanks to my betas Vands and, especially, Res, who read what I said and told me what I really wanted to say, to the point where she practically co-authored the bloody thing. I hope it makes you askfjdl as much as it did me, when the edits came back. ;)
Finally, as a reminder and for those of you who may be new to this series, the Pagan Shire series is a post ROTK AU following on from Letters Over The Sea, which can be found at http://www.drawingoffthecream.net/LotR/letters.html. It begins seven years after the end of ROTK, in late September 1428 SR. Previous instalments can also be found at http://www.livejournal.com/users/timbersfics/

Notes: Firstly, my apologies for the long break in posting: RL problems have hit. I'm posting an extra-long segment to make up for it.
Secondly, this series is based on Letters Over the Sea. Thanks to the original authors for letting me take their premise and run with it, especially in directions they may not have intended. ;)
Thirdly, thanks to Bron for initial help in the early days, to Betz for helping me beta this time, and particular thanks to rodneyscat for doing a last minute beta. Also to anyone else I've forgotten who may have given me help in the meantime.

Title: 'Twas But a Dream of Thee
Author: Timberwolf
E-mail: timberwolf@frodo.com
Rating: NC-17. Very NC-17.
Pairing: Frodo/Sam
Category: Romance, angst.
Summary: In the course of Sam's expressing his insecurities, Frodo and Sam take their relationship to another level.
Disclaimer: JRR Tolkien's and his estate, not mine. Though they're certainly having a lot more fun now I've got my hands on them. So to speak. ;)
Notes: Based on, and continuing on from "Letters Over the Sea" -- many thanks to the original authors for letting me take their original premise and run with it. ;)
Thanks as always to Bron, for brainstorming this in the early days, to Zig for looking it over when it'd lain fallow for the better part of two years, and for Vands for the final beta.

Sam stirred in drowsy contentment...Collapse )

Title: Might I But Moor
Author: Timberwolf
E-mail: timberwolf@frodo.com
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Frodo and Sam encounter their first conflicts within their relationship.
Disclaimer: This is written solely for my own entertainment and other like-minded souls, and is not intended to infringe on the rights of the estate of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Notes: Thanks to Bron for encouragement and brainstorming during the early stages, and Zig, Cara, Andraste and Mat for their betaing help with various rewrites. Especial thanks to Mat for helping at the last minute with that fecking tangled first sentence. ;)
For those of you just coming in on this, this series (the first three parts of which were posted back in February) continues on from Letters Over the Sea, which can be found in the archives of tolkien_slash, or email me for a copy. This is waaaay post ROTK, for any of you trying to avoid spoilers might want to give it a miss. It's primarily book-based, though I do visualise Frodo and Sam pretty well as they appear in the movies. After I saw the first still of Frodo Baggins, I couldn't see him any other way -- and ditto for Sam, once we got a good look at him.
For those of you needing a timeframe, the series starts September 22 1428 in the Shire Reckoning.

And without further ado:

'Frodo, are you sure...'Collapse )

Warnings: Aside from the obvious, a lot of discussion of domestic details.
Notes: Third in the 'Pagan Shire' series inspired by "Letters over the Sea".

Thanks to Bron for suggestions made many moons back, and also to Zig, Cara and Kelly for more recent betaing.

Sam stirred, conscious of warmth...Collapse )

Pairing: Frodo/Sam.
Summary: After Frodo's return, the two hobbits indulge in a swimming lesson. ;)
Rating: R for allusions to certain body parts.
Disclaimer: This is written for my own enjoyment and that of other like-minded folk, and not intended to infringe on the copyright held by the estate of the late J.R.R. Tolkien.
Warnings: Spoilers for ROTK.
Notes: Second in the 'Pagan Shire' series, directly following "Back to Me.".
Dedicated with thanks to Bronnie, for brainstorming this with me in the early days, to Zig for encouraging me to post it, and especially to Cara for having 'just a quick read over it' and returning with a list of suggestions that much improved my original version.

'So how would you teach me to swim?' asked Sam...Collapse )

FIC: PS #1: Back to Me, LoTR, F/S, PG

Title: Back To Me
Author: Timberwolf (timberwolf@frodo.com)
Pairing: Frodo/Sam.
Summary: Frodo returns from over the Sea.
Rating: PG
Category: Romance, Angst
Disclaimer: This is written for my own enjoyment and that of other like-minded folk, and not intended to infringe on the copyright held by the estate of the late J.R.R. Tolkien.
Warnings: terminal slushiness. No sex yet, sorry.
Notes: First story in the 'Pagan Shire' series, inspired by (and heavily drawing on) "Letters over the Sea".
Also, any similarities you may notice between Bron DuWynn's F/S stories and this are not at all coincidental -- we started on them about the same time. Bronnie's muse is a lot more linear than mine, though...
Thanks to Bron for brainstorming this with me in the early days, Zig for betaing, general handholding and 'so when are you going to post it?' emails.

There were no trees on the seashore...Collapse )
